Guilty Secrets

Do you ever have those things you don’t want people to know you enjoy? You know, some stupid thing that’s only appropriate for eight year old boys? Mine is “Total Drama Island”. Yep. That really silly cartoon based on every reality show ever made. It’s terrible. It’s crude. And I love it.
*sigh*
Not only do I not mind when my children clamor to watch the latest episodes, I have logged onto YouTube to find episodes that aren’t out yet.
That’s right. *hangs head in shame*
It’s a guilty secret I’m now sharing with all of you. Don’t know what “Total Drama Island” is? Well, here you go.

I’m not the only one, am I? Is there a show you find yourself watching and quickly switching to CNN when another adult comes in the room? What’s your guilty TV candy?

Reality TV. MASH reruns. Old black and white movies. That about covers it. I have no shame, though. 😉

LOL VBC. Your posts about your old movie obsession have been awesome.

  3. I love Total Drama Island! But I never miss an episode of The Misadventures of Flapjack! Too funny. I also have a guilty obsession with Doctor Who, but then again, who doesn’t?

I’m glad I’m not the only one, Kimber. I also like “Chowder”. *cringes* I know. It’s terrible isn’t it?
Have you seen the Flapjack spoof on James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful”? Hilarious. You’re beauteous man.

  5. I had never heard of this, but very clever to spoof reality tv with a cartoon- I never go around admitting this to anyone but my all time favorite is “America’s next top model” heeee-heeee! I couldn’t tell you why but I can’t get enough of it!

  6. Don’t worry, I love “Chowder.” I laugh more than my kids do.

OMG Java Queen!!! ANTM is like a train wreck–I can’t look away. LOL.
Thank God, Sandi. I often wonder if I’m stuck in my childhood. LOL.

  8. I don’t watch enough TV to have a guilty pleasure there. But I do have internet guilty pleasure. I love to visit GerardButlerdotNet and RichardArmitageOnlinedotCom, but feel like a teenybopper while there. Loved your clip of your guilty pleasure – I hadn’t seen it before and I laughed.

  9. By the way – Tag! You’re it!

Oh no!!! Two more links. Julia, you’re a terrible influence on me.

  11. haha – try being the guy who makes the show 😉

  12. Jen

WOW!!!! The director himself. Well, now that I’ve got your attention, I’d like to discuss HOW LONG it takes for you to get rid of Heather. (I’ll have you know it’s not ME, but my eight year old that wants to know. It IS. Why are you laughing?)

  13. In Plain Sight. And I don’t really watch it, because I’m so not a TV person… but I keep looking at it until Christian de la Fuente comes on. Then I wish he would be on longer.

  14. Jen

LOL Winter. I’ve seen previews for that show and I’d love to watch it.

Awww man. Now I have another cartoon to watch. Family Guy is a must see at our house. I’m in love with the guy who does Brian’s voice, btw. Guess my guilty secret is that I’m in love with a dog, so to speak 😉 Oooh yeah.

  16. TDI rocks. We watched the all-day marathon up here, and then our fave episodes the next day when they ran the marathon again.

You HAVE to check out 6Teen. A lot of the same voices as TDI, but less vomit…well, except for the episode where Jude has his first kiss…
Ooh! See if you can find the episode where Jude and Wyatt decide to take over the Psychic hotline…
Or the one where Jen and Jonesy’s mom are getting married.
    Or…

    um. yeah. Secret obsession revealed.
