Thirteen Of My Favorite George Carlin Stuff

I didn’t always agree but I still laughed my ass off.
Rest in Peace George Carlin.

1. The Seven Dirty Words

2. “What’s the point of having a Divine Plan if every run of the mill smuck can fuck it up?”

3. “Maybe I’ve had 116 nice days in a row and I’m ready to have a CRAPPY day!

4. “I’m moderately neato”

5. “What? They have bigger dicks? BOMB THEM”

6. “If you’re willing to swallow cum, don’t pretend that something I’ve said is disgusting.”

7. “Forget the bald eagle. The emblem for America should be a big bowl of Mac and Cheese!

8. White people got no business playing the blues at all…..

9. “I don’t have pet peeves, I have major psychotic hatreds.”

10. The Three Big Questions

11. “Now do you see why I like it when nature gets even with humans?”

12. “The Public sucks. How’s that for a campaign slogan?”

13. Baseball and Football

Here’s hoping George got to “go home and be safe”.

  1. Happy T13! This list is pretty cool and very informative because I’ve never really heard of or seen any of his stand up comedy. Hope to see you at my 7th edition about Charlaine Harris.

  2. I loved George Carlin. I was sad to hear he died. 😦 And I’m sorry … but #6 is a hoot!

  3. Jen

The funny thing is he regularly pisses me off. He has an entire set about fat people I DON’T like. But even when he’s OFFENSIVE he’s funny and not in an Andrew Dice offensive way. He really makes me think about stuff and that made him awesome. I’ll miss him.

  4. He was so funny and smart. I bought one of his albums when I was a teenager, and listened to it so much I memorized pretty much the whole thing (it had quote #3 & #4 on it).

  5. he is going to be missed, he was such a funny guy

  6. Jen

I love his compare and contrast of Baseball and Football. HILARIOUS. LOL.

  7. Great TT, Jennifer. George Carlin will definitely be missed!

  8. Gosh, I realize how very little I knew about him. Thanks for sharing this – it also enhances my view of you.

You are a sparkling blessing to this world.

  9. Kym

You’re right he’s funny AND he makes you think. My son opened a serious speech he did about legalizing prostitution with a Carlin quote. The man knew how to open your eyes to a new way of seeing the world.

    Thanks for the great memorial.

  10. Color me clueless. I have no idea who this is, but he said some funny things.

  11. Jen

I think that’s why I loved him, Kym. He took serious topics and TALKED about them. He made them accessible to everyone by adding the element of humor.
And Shelley, he’s a comedian that’s had a long and fruitful career.

  12. Yaay! Guess what I’m going to do after I send this comment into the cosmos?

    Listen to le Carlin.

He made me laugh more than any other comedian. Bill Cosby is a close second.

It doesn’t take much to make me laugh, though. I once spent a good two minutes laughing myself into a runny nose after I saw a housefly fly into the mirror and bounce off.

  13. You look great in a feed reader babe! 😉 I love Carlin. He will definitely be missed. I used to listen to him and think, that’s so true, why didn’t I ever think of that before?

  14. Love him or hate him George Carlin tried to make you think, and some times he was pretty damn funny at it too.

    May he rest in peace.

    Janice~

  15. He’s one of the great – he was horribly offensive at times but I always sensed he had a kind heart underneath . . . thanks for the great list Jen.

  16. He will be missed by so many…..

  17. I think I hurt myself when I read #6. I gotta go find some room for my stuff now.
