Thirteen Things about my vacation in Nevada

1. No, I never acclimated to the heat
It got very, very hot in Fallon. I didn’t get used to it.
2. I can’t drink as much as I used to
I had intended on drinking A LOT. But the first night I drank a ton, passed out and decided “Um, no”. LOL!
3. The desert can be absolutely beautiful
There is just something awesome about it.
4. Virginia City is touristy but really fun
I had a great time there.
5. 9 kids in one house is toooooo many
We had Brian’s grandkids (four) Ingrid’s kids (four) and mine (one) ranging in ages 19 to 3 1/2. It was insane, but kind of amazing too.
6. I still love love love the song “I Feel Lucky”
7. These guys are AWESOME!!!!
8. Fallon, Nevada reminds me a little of Fortuna
Except hotter. And with casinos. LOL!
9. Bungee jumping is fun to watch
but no way in hell you’d get me up there. LOL!
10. Everything is funnier after whiskey, Cappie bombs, and after 1am.
I even have a video which mainly consists of me laughing. Don’t ask.
11. There’s always too much birthday cake
I thought it was just kid’s parties, but it seems to be true no matter what.
12. Sometimes, nothing beats the sound of silence
And I needed it.
13. My best friends are still my best friends.
The week I spent in Nevada reminded me of the saying “A good friend will come and bail you out of jail. A Best friend will say “Man, it was totally worth it.” while she sits in the cell with you.”

  4. Glad you had a good time, though that would be about nine kids too many in one house for me, LOL.

  5. LOL on the “um…no.” I’ve done that.
