Futuristic Romance/Twisted Fairytale/Biopunk — Short (ebook)
In a world of floating islands and bio-engineered beans, the bad guys are taken down by agents of the Mother organization—agents like Jacqueline “Jaq” Robinson. Instead of accepting her next routine assignment, she sets out on a mission of her own—to destroy Giant Corp, the company responsible for her sister’s wasting illness. Jaq must steal her cure from Giant’s headquarters high above the city…even though she’ll be brought face-to-face with Harper English, the man who left her to go deep undercover at Giant.

For Harp, Jaq had been a distraction the mercenary thought he couldn’t afford. But once he sees her again, Harp knows he’s made a mistake. Even though she vowed he won’t have her again, it’s clear they still have a powerful attraction. Harp’s determined to get a second chance with Jaq—if they can escape Giant Corp and get back to solid ground in one piece…

Do you like retellings of fairytales? I do! Here’s one by one of my favorite authors Ella Drake. I’ve got my copy. Why not go get yours?

I gotcha covered, my friends.

Loose ends have a way of tripping you up…
Years ago, a law school graduation weekend in Vegas had been part of Lily MacPherson’s plan. Waking up next to a naked Adonis with a ring on her finger was not. After a quick annulment, she relegated Caleb Anderson to her late-night fantasies—and very short list of mistakes—until his voice on the other end of the phone asks a favor that could shake the foundations of her neat and tidy future.

Caleb is still haunted by Lily’s horrified expression that morning in Vegas. At least it had made it easy to set her free…except they aren’t. The papers were never filed. And when the nosy patroness who could launch his painting career insists on meeting his “wife”, does he confess, or call Lily? He calls Lily.

When she steps off the plane, Caleb’s determination to play tour guide disappears in the San Francisco fog. Lily thought she could keep up the pretense for one weekend, cut the last tie to her past, and move on. But their chemistry still pops and sizzles, finally exploding into passion at Caleb’s studio.

It’s everything they remember…but so is the yawning chasm of differences that, in the end, could once again drive them apart.

Product Warnings

Contains balmy ocean breezes, coffee as seduction, the creative use of melted chocolate, and naughty shower lovin’ that gives new meanings to the term “shower head”.

I’ve read this and LOVED it! There are very few authors who can make Contemporary fresh and new. Lynn Roberts is one of them. I’m thrilled she’s got this one out with Samhain.

Don’t miss out. Buy it here.
Just sayin’

Wanna Get Away? I’ve mentioned it before, but…
Maybe you missed it. I’ve been waiting for this one to come out ever since Kim Menozzi put up excerpts from “Ask Me If I’m Happy” on her blog. When it came out, I snapped it up.

Emily Miller is forced to spend a day in Bologna when she’d rather be catching her flight to the US. Determined to put ten years in Italy and her marriage behind her, she wants to have nothing to do with anything-or anyone-Italian ever again. For Davide Magnani, chivalry isn’t yet dead. He accompanies Emily to Milan, if only to reassure himself of her safe arrival. The following morning, he’s stunned to realize he’s fallen in love with someone he’s only known for twenty-four hours-and it seems that she feels the same way. One year later, Emily and Davide reunite. As their relationship strengthens, unforeseen events reveal deeper, troubling connections all around, which drive Emily away from the first man she’s ever really trusted. Can she forgive the lies she’s been told, or the truths which have been hidden from her? And how can Davide prove to her, once and for all, that Italy is precisely where she needs to be?
You can get this one ON KINDLE or IN PRINT.
It’s rare that someone can really “whisk me away” to another place. Ms. Menozzi does it with skill and sensitivity that makes this book a gold nugget find. Seriously, if you’ve ever wanted to go to Italy and just can’t make it happen, this book will get you there.
Just sayin’
