Thirteen Cute Things The Dirt Faced Okie Boys Do….

….that keeps them alive. LOL.

1. “Mom! Play “The Velma Song”!
I have no idea why, but Demolition Boy associates “Bleed It Out” by Linkin Park with Scooby Doo. He loves that song.

2. “Chicken Butt! That’s What!
This is from “Aunt Michelle” who taught to say “Guess What?” and when I’m dumb enough to say “What?” I get the chicken butt dance. Yeah. It’s cute.

3. “Deck My Brother With Fists Of Fury….”
Last night, they came into the living room and, to the tune of “Deck the Halls”, started singing this.
Train Boy: “Deck my brother with Fists of Fury” *whispers to Demolition Boy* “Say your line.”
Demolition Boy: “Ow Ow Ow Ow Oww Ow Ow OW ow.”
I was so proud. *rolls eyes*

4. Train Boy’s Response to Where Babies Come From.
*frowns* But I don’t understand. Why would a mommy be hungry if her belly is full? Especially THAT full.

5. Said at the top of Demolition Boy’s lungs in the grocery store. “Mom, aren’t you going to get Whiskey? You NEED to get Whiskey.”
And after that, I DID need to get Whiskey.

6. “Peeba”
This is what they call pizza. It’s cute, really.

7. “Mom, what did you want to eat when I was in your belly”
For some reason, they laugh hysterically when I tell them Train Boy made me crave canned chili and Demolition Boy demanded pizza. And for some weird reason, I find it cute.

8. “I’m a mini-Redneck”
Train Boy announced this at Thanksgiving last year. He wants to be JUST like his daddy.

9. “Mom, I think Forrest is the Scariest thing I’ve seen tonight.”
Train Boy, on Halloween, was referring to a friend of ours who was baked out of his mind. LOL. I laughed my ass off. Yeah, I’m not nice.

10. Demolition Boy: “I can’t see! I can’t see!” Me: What’s the matter? Demolition Boy: “I got my eyes closed.”
You have to watch The Three Stooges for that lovely reference.

11. “Does God take care of meeeeee!”
Demolition Boy was terrified of his room, so when he got sent there, he’d wail this down the hall. We tried not to laugh. Really. He doesn’t say it anymore, which I think is sad.

12. Train Boy: “No, I’m not mad. I’m Fwuswated!”
Train Boy was probably about three when he said this. And he loves it when I tell this story. Again, he finds it hilarious.

13. “I’m gonna work at Round Table.”
Demolition Boy didn’t want to be a fireman or a policeman. He just wanted to work where the food is.

Next time they’re being insane…you need to remember this.

And the way they answer the phone. “Who is this?”

  4. Brilliant – and the images leap to mind so easily! LOL! I especially like the job choice – but I’m hoping he’ll set his sights a little higher soon. πŸ˜‰

They really are adorable…….the little stinkers. LOL.

  6. At least they only sang the Ow ow ow part. My kids would probably reenact it while they were singing.

  7. LOL You just brought back a flood of memories from when my boys were small (Now ages 22 & 24 yikes!)
Enjoy them when they’re young, they grow up soooooo fast.
    Happy T13!

  10. See, I miss all this by not having kids. Your boys sound wonderful, even though they make you need whiskey occasionally πŸ˜‰

  12. Your boys are precious. I love your analysis of their behavior, though. Very cute.

  13. #1 I like that song, too.

#5 I wish my kids reminded me to buy alcohol.

  14. “I’m Fwuswated!”

    LOL — too cute!

  15. I agree with Adelle, they grow up too fast – my boys are 23 and 25 now. Of course they still do cute things (remember the snow angel??) heheh

  16. I had SUCH a blast reading these. Best dang laugh I’ve had all week, I pinky swear.

    Yours,
    Unhingey Rednecky

I often forget. Especially today when they do things that DRIVE ME UP THE WALL!!!!
None of it matters in the long run then.
Glad I could make you laugh, Andi.

I only have one girl thank God, but I did help raise my nephew and he was a handful. The “Fwuswated” comment is very cute.
