Thirteen Things I Want To Do At Conference
1. Pitch my book “Legend of Fools”
without puking on Heather Osbourne’s or Miriam Kriss’ shoes.
2. Meet Jessica Faust
Without having to stalk her……too much.
3. Meet and Hug Every Diva There
But only once, Lori. I promise. Well, unless I’ve been drinking.
4. Impress an Avon Editor
Or any editor for that matter. LOL.
5. Hang Out With Crystal Jordan and Loribelle Hunt
A lot.
6. Impress a Berkeley Editor
Or any editor…I said that didn’t I?
7. Walk In My Stilettos
without falling on my ass.
8. Be Charming
without being annoying.
9. Get Enough Sleep
I tend to forget to do that when I’m having fun.
10. Don’t Spend Too Much Money
Stop laughing. It could happen!
11. Pitch “Legends Of Fools” to Miriam Kriss and Heather Osbourne
Without puking. Oh wait. I said that didn’t I?
12. Get LOTS of Pictures
To post here! Probably to music. Because you KNOW I love YouTube. LOL.
13. Don’t Let Nerves Get In The Way
of having a fantastic time.
I’ll be heading to Fort Bragg tomorrow and to Napa on Saturday. My next post will be from the road. See you guys soon.

Happy T13! I love your list today very cool and you sound a bit busy. I wish I could have gone to the RAW conference but alas it is to far and very expensive for an 18 year old. Hope to see you at my 11th edition about Catherine Anderson at Talk About My Favorite Authors blog.

Have a great time, and tell us all about it when you get home.
July 24, 2008 at 2:54 pm
Oh I hope you have a wonderful time. Be kind to yourself – those conferences are so over whelming.
Ok, stilettos? Imagine a red line running down the center of you and to the floor. then walk. Just keep the red line in mind and you’ll do fine.
((hug)) go for it!

Well, good news/bad news. The good news is I’ll get to blog one more time before I head out for San Francisco and the big Conference.
The bad news is I have to work tomorrow. Wasn’t in the plan, but I’m not going to complain….too much.
Hey thanks Claudia on the stiletto advice!!!
July 24, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Sheeeeee.
My advice is to skip the stilettos (you can find plenty of cute shoes that aren’t going to kill ya), and focus on your makeup and clothing. Dress to thrill, but tastefully. The girl makes the outfit…the outfit doesn’t make the girl.
Also, it wouldn’t hurt if you did a heavy workout first thing in the morning–something like walking fast on a treadmill, or running on a elliptical, or anything that’s going to make you SWEAT. Why? Because this is going to improve your blood flow and increase your endorphins. And you’ll need ‘em when you pitch.
I wish you the bestest of luck. I wish I was going. And I hope you have a great time! You are a wonderful writer. Remember that.
xo!

On-the-road blogging! Yes! Please…
July 24, 2008 at 10:44 pm
lol–have I said Miriam Kriss is scary? (she’s scary) Just don’t puke on her. lol–or if you do I want to be there to take pictures. Dancing nekkid on tables is passe. Puking on agents, well–hey, that’s pretty damned cool. (and blackmailable)
You know you’ll do fine. Just don’t wear Civil War gowns like a couple of people I saw, or knock her glass of water over on the table.
July 25, 2008 at 3:23 am
LMAO Jodi! Is she scary? Mmmmm. Okay. No Civil War gowns, make sure I puke where Cup can take a picture and don’t drink the water.
Got it.
July 25, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Uh huh, yeah.
I want photos.
July 26, 2008 at 4:27 am
Heels? Eeeekkkk. I really don’t do well in heels. Recently went on a first ‘date’ with someone who had been a good friend for a while and I wore, yes you’ve guess it, heels! All I did was plod (that’s a very English word btw) around, grasping onto said ‘date’s’ arm…wasn’t good. Not to mention I almost broke my neck *blushes*
Anyway, good luck sweetie! I know you are going to have a fabulous time!
