There’s no rhyme or reason to this post. It’s just a mish-mash of happenings.
Yesterday, I rented and watched “National Treasure 2″. Since many people had panned it, I had been hesitant to get it as a new release.
I was pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoyed the movie, though some of the plot points went over my head. I had a tough time seeing how the end of the movie proved Thomas Gates wasn’t one of the conspirators in the assassination of Lincoln. Other than that, I enjoyed the way the characters interacted. I fell in love with Riley again and wish they’d give him a love interest that’s more than just “hot”. But it’s not like these movies go very deep.
On the flip side, I rented the movie “Untraceable”. Talk about disturbing. I was on the edge of my seat through most of it. My heart broke for Jennifer Marsh, the cyber FBI agent assigned to a graphic and frightening case. I loved it, but it really made an impression. The ending is awesome and tense and the motive behind the killings is brilliantly portrayed. All and all, worth renting BUT it’s no light little movie for pleasant entertainment.
We’ve got a birthday party to go to today and I’ve gotten half-way through “Regaining Command” my third book in the series. I hardly ever get to rent and watch movies so it’s been a nice weekend.
The weather has been very weird. It’s been raining off and on, then yesterday was beautifully sunny, this morning it’s a little overcast and windy.
I have no idea what today will hold. Probably more randomness. It all feels a little disconnected today. But maybe I just need more coffee.
How is it with you? Random? Orderly? Insane?

Very random weekend for me too – extremely hot here! UGH Lawn mowing and I did so good spraying up with SPF 15 and reapplying 2X through the day BUT apparently my tank was creeping up in back while riding the mower and so I have a 2″ strip of burnt crispy skin on my back just above my underwear line – now that is comfy and attractive! LOL This morning found bambi in my back yard (see blog for info) then went shopping for a swimming pool which would be a dream come true for me but might cost about 3X what I thought it would so have to figure out if I can justify it. LOL
That’s about it for me – about to start working on a website I said I’d do back in April and still haven’t started – have I mentioned what a procrastinator I am? LOL

One word — mundane. *sigh*

Hot. It is very hot.
Mom came through like a trooper, and is currently doped up on her very own couch, being waited on hand and foot by my Dad.
I’m sitting around in my underwear, surfing the internet while WH is at work.
Life is good. Just hot.

Randomness can be a good thing
. I love any movie with Nic Cage but I think my all time favorite is Ghost Rider. Very enjoyable movie complete with leather pants!

I spent hours on YouTube searching for just the right videos to accompany a certain Thursday Thirteen book review this week…
Very enjoyable searching.

Ugh Tricia! Hope the sunburn passes quickly.
You sure you want some excitement, Lothian?
Ooo I’m so glad to hear about your mom, VBC.
Ghost Rider will be another one I pick up.
I can’t wait to see it Julia.

After living life in a disordered fashion (you should’ve seen my place), today was happily orderly. I felt empowered to clean. Now I need to feel empowered to get rid of half the clothes in my closet, and go through all this paper work on my desk and behind my desk. Friggen details. They kill me.
I recently saw ATONEMENT (very interesting movie, I was totally into it, but have no wish to see it again), and BELIEVE IN ME, based on a true story about a 1966 girl’s basketball team. I’m a sucker for an underdog tale of triumph.

Okay, I like Ghost Rider – it’s something Goldfish gives me endless crap about. I like Nic Cage and I love motorcycles – call it a guilty pleasure.
Up here? Not hot . . . . but getting greener every day and I’m flying my older sister out here for a visit next month – I’m so excited to show her all my favorite spots on the island . . .
Cheers Girly, keep on bloggin’, sorry I don’t get a chance to stop by as often as I’d like. steve

WOW! Good for you Andi. I can’t say I’ve EVER felt empowered to clean. Forced to, yes.
And Steve, I know what you mean. I don’t get to my blogs as often as I used to. When are you going to write that book? LOL.

The book, yeah . . . my sort of plan involves buying a 24 foot C-Dory and piloting it from Dutch Harbor to Maine through the Panama Canal – I figure that will make for a hell of a story . . . until that point, I’m content to let you be the writer in the group . . .

Hi Jen, it’s a little random and insane for me at the moment but I don’t have any REAL complains. Just day to day craziness. I still have to count my blessings though
Have more coffee? Yes, coffee is almost always the answer
Glad for you that you had time to relax a bit and watch some movies; that’s always fun!

What??
:Outrage: :stomping around:
How dare you like that terrible movie, NT2?
On the flip side, I’m glad you had some quiet movie moments.

Well, Java Queen, I hope it mellows out for you a bit.
And Kym, LOL!!!!!!
